Kemar Christopher “Ding Dong” Dwaine Ottey (born September 29, 1980) is a Jamaican dancehall artist, dancer, and choreographer known for helping bridge the gap between dancehall music and street-style Jamaican dance culture. Raised in the community of Nannyville, Kingston, he first gained recognition as one of Jamaica’s most talented street dancers long before he became a recording artist.
Ding Dong established himself as a cultural figure through Ravers Clavers, a dance crew he founded that has become one of the most influential in modern dancehall. The group popularized numerous dance moves that sparked island-wide and international trends, helping shape the modern choreography associated with dancehall.

His breakthrough as a recording artist came in 2005 with the hit “Bad Man Forward / Bad Man Pull Up,” a track that blended dance instructions with energetic riddim and became a staple in parties and street dances across Jamaica and the diaspora. The song marked a turning point in his career, showcasing his ability to merge the dancer and artiste roles seamlessly.
Ding Dong continued to rise with a series of dance-driven hits, but 2017 became a standout year with the release of “Fling” and “Genna Bounce.” Both songs went viral, becoming global dance anthems and solidifying him as one of the leading entertainers in contemporary dancehall. These tracks also helped take dancehall choreography worldwide, with challenges, performances, and tutorials spreading across social media platforms.

Beyond music, Ding Dong is known for his motivational presence, charismatic personality, and his role as a cultural ambassador for Jamaica. He has collaborated with major Jamaican producers, maintained a strong presence in dancehall events, and built a reputation for uplifting his community and crew members through opportunity and mentorship.
Today, Ding Dong remains one of the most influential figures in dancehall culture—an artist who successfully transformed the art of dancing into a global musical movement and continues to drive dance-focused hits, performances, and trends.
